Case Study For Mesothelioma Attorney Michigan

DEATH FROM MESOTHELIOMA IN MICHIGAN

This is an account of the death of a man in Michigan who suffered from Mesothelioma. Mei Lin and Rei was a happy couple, living in the peaceful city in Ohio, Michigan, which was the world to them. Rei was an employee in an interior designing company and being a special person for the team, he had to be always there with the team in every major construction or renovation order.

Due to the kind of work Rei was involved in, he would often carry with asbestos fibres with him. Asbestos is essentially an industrial term derived from mining and manufacturing material of asbestiform habit and therefore, are an ultimate cause of a type of cancer called Mesothelioma. The couple, in a similar fashion to a load of others affected by it, never got to know what was written in the future and what suffering might that asbestos bring to them.

As time went on, the couple spent the most wonderful twenty-five years of their lives in comparison to the problems and tragedy they will have to face in the future. Rei developed a case of shortness in breath but he never gave much attention to it. Days went past and he realised that his voice was becoming husky and his whole body started aching on a daily basis, non-stop.

The couple then realised it was time to visit the doctor because these things had been happening to Rei for a long time now. They could not believe their luck when the doctors disclosed that Rei was suffering from the cancer and was placed at a very high stage. It was Mesothelioma and that asbestos that Rei had been in regular contact with caused him that.

Doctors told us that asbestosis is basically just another name of Mesothelioma and typically occurred to those people who came in contact with asbestos dust in one way or the other. However, they asked for further tests in order to determine the clarity of the disease and off we went for a CT-PET scan.

A combination of CT and PET is termed more informative for the doctors and it also allows them to decide what process to undergo for a patient’s surgery.

Living with Mesothelioma:

For Rei, living a life with Mesothelioma was a difficult one for sure. He was both upset as well as confused especially when his disease was diagnosed at quite an advanced stage. He knew that he had to manage everything practically and rationally. There were things to sort out and he knew that his mother was there and he had to tell her somehow but he planned to find a proper way and chance to tell this drowning news to his mother.

He never wanted to imagine what her reaction would be but knew he could not keep this away from her. He had to tell her somehow and he had to tell her quick. To his surprise, however, his mom did not shed a single tear in front of him and took the news very, very bravely and straight on the chin. She told him to be bold and support his wife. He knew that this news might have broken the emotions of his mother into pieces but he also could feel that this was the real time to support each other.

Unfortunately, a few days later, it was disclosed that Rei was dangling at the final stages of his life. It was the stage where none of the surgery can be of any help as Mesothelioma had spread to different parts of the chest wall.

Rei knew he was going to die but he still wanted to make the most out of the days he had remaining in the world. Other than supporting his wife, he started to write articles for the different newspapers and magazines in order to increase the awareness of asbestos particles among people. He, through his articles, told people that at least once in year, one should go to the doctors no matter if he is ill or not. Regular checkups within a couple of years should be a first priority for everyone. He was on his deathbed but wanted other people to live their life and minimise the chances of them dying through Mesothelioma, like he was. And as it had happened, Rei left this world but behind him he left bundles of material and helpful guides for people to delve into and save themselves from the disease. He is gone but his legacy will surely stay on forever.
